2. General information

Protecting your personal data matters to us. We process personal data in accordance with applicable law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish LOPDGDD (Ley Orgánica 3/2018). You can generally use our website without providing personal data; where personal data is collected, this is always voluntary and based on your consent or another legal basis.

  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent
  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligation
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests

4. Website visit and hosting

When you access our website, the server automatically records technical data (IP address, date and time, requested file, browser, operating system, referrer URL). This data is used for the security and stability of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and deleted after 30 days at the latest. The website is hosted by an external provider with whom a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) has been concluded.

5. Contact

If you use our contact form, WhatsApp, email or phone, we process the data you provide (name, email, phone, message) to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). This data is not shared with third parties without your consent. For WhatsApp, the privacy terms of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. additionally apply.

6. Customer relationship

As part of our IT and network services we process customer data (name, address, contact, contract and billing data, technical configuration data, communication history) on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, for the duration of the business relationship and the statutory retention periods (in Spain up to 6 years commercial / 4 years tax). Remote support is performed only with your express consent.

7. JumpIT Voice (voice.jumpit.eu)

JumpIT Voice is a separate, invitation-only add-on service (currently in beta) that automatically transcribes incoming WhatsApp voice messages. A customer connects their own WhatsApp number to the service; from then on, every voice message sent to that number is returned as text into the same chat. German messages are returned as a plain transcript; Spanish and English messages are additionally translated into German, with an optional short summary for longer messages. The service returns only this transcription and does not reply to the content — there is no answer bot.

Only the incoming voice message and the sender’s number are processed (the latter solely to return the reply to the correct chat). Other chats, contacts, or text/media messages are not read. The audio file is processed transiently for conversion and then removed; transcript, translation, and summary are not permanently stored in an application database. Speech recognition, translation, and summarisation run entirely on our own servers (locally hosted AI models); no third-party cloud AI services (e.g. OpenAI, Google, Meta) are used, so third-party content never leaves our infrastructure.

The customer who connects their number is the controller for the messages arriving in their chats; JumpIT acts as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. The service uses an unofficial WhatsApp access (companion/linked device); we expressly inform the customer of the associated risks before use.

Anyone who sends a voice message to a number connected to JumpIT Voice is also a data subject, since the transcription becomes visible as a reply in the chat. For transparency, before the first transcription each sender automatically receives a one-time notice (in the detected language) with an explanation and how to opt out. Senders can control the transcription of their own messages at any time by sending a short command in the chat:

  • /stopp (also /stop or /stoppvoice) – disables transcription of their voice messages
  • /start (also /startvoice) – re-enables it

The commands take effect immediately, are case-insensitive, and work only in one-to-one chats; the service confirms the change with a short message. Such an opt-out is stored so that your decision is respected permanently. In addition, the customer can pause transcription for their entire number. Your other data subject rights (section 11) remain unaffected. Audio data is removed after conversion; administratively we permanently store only the customer’s account data (email address, consent with timestamp, settings), never message content.

8. Cookies

Technically necessary cookies (e.g. language preferences) are based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set with your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) via the consent banner, which you can change or withdraw at any time.

9. Analytics tools

We currently do not use third-party web analytics tools that process personal data. Should this change in future (e.g. Google Analytics), this section will be updated and separate consent obtained.

10. SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption (“https://”) to protect data transmission.

11. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)). You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, https://www.aepd.es.
