Do I have to replace my existing devices?
Usually not. Home Assistant is brand-agnostic and integrates a great deal of what you already have — Philips Hue, IKEA, Shelly, KNX, Sonos and many WiFi and Zigbee devices. We check what fits together with you beforehand.
Does it keep working without internet?
Yes. The core runs locally on a hub in your home. Automations, lighting and scenes still work even if the internet line goes down.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. We plan, install and set everything up cleanly and hand you a system that’s easy to use. If you like, we maintain and expand it on an ongoing basis.
How secure is access from away?
We handle remote access encrypted via the JumpIT VPN — without your control running through third-party cloud servers. So it stays convenient and still private.
